The parade square was rowdy with zombies dragging their feets to their classes, arranged in horizontal rows. As usual, i subliminally sigh loudly and hunched my back in pain struggling to ease the strain of my shoulders then walked hastily to my class. Today is unique, students in formal uniforms of different groups scattered among the sea of homogeneous baby blue uniform, sounds of soft tapping echoed around as their well-polished boots or shoes hit the concrete floor. The air also scent of luscious dark chocolate aroma filling the morning atmosphere with excitement. It's Friday 13th, yes February, for a normal Olevel student the reaction should be "wow soo fast" but for a happy-go-lucky slackers, the reaction will be "cool, Jason!!" or worse "happy (advanced) valentines day". Apparently there's a pervasive sense among all that "its all about chocolate and love" yes it is however, it is an unfortunate day for those that are singles. yes the isolation, the cold shoulders it's like a positive and negative ion joined, yes an ionic compound which has a high boiling point and conduct electricity when molten, or two earth magnets placed together...it's impossible to separate both. Anyways, Chocolates are given to show admiration or appreciations, thus i shall announce the results of total chocolate collected from my friends, "gee, thanks gosh i've got nothing to give you in return, really sorry" this was the exact line repeated 5-6 times thus concluding the number of chocolate recieved...what? still don't know? well, it can't be helped, i'll spell it out for ya....literally....F-I-V-E and a really sweet balloon flower from caroline (I LOVE YOU!!!). Expect mushy lines and girlish wails in this post, because i'm truly touched. Isn't it sweet? i've been wearing it since morning till now to prove it yes look down!!! was about to eat it cause it looked soo tasty!!! wait it's rubber...by the way THANK YOU!!! LOVE YOU TOO!!! CARO-CARO-on-the-LINE!!! -Jie jia yes the one i've insulted mercilessly, his quieter now and as generous as ever handing out Golden wrapped, tantalising and elegant looking FEREROs !!!! yes 2 boxes? ya that how much he's bought!!! COOL!!! anyways thank you and SORRY ABOUT YOUR GRANDMA!! Right, So the day had just begun with Chocolates triggering the release of endorphins in our brains, bringing a sense of well-being and happiness. Yes uniform groups were formally dressed in respect to total defence day which falls on sunday, hurray hear the siren! Recess was like japanese war time. Confused and completely shocked, we were given COUPONS!!! "1 bottle of mineral water and 1 bun" was written on the small pink slip forced into our hands. Mouths opened wide, eyes widen, expressions then were priceless so were the comments..."what?! 1 only?" "this is torture, we should be given proper lunches!" some went out to check the situation and came back announcing "the vending machines are guarded by uniform groups" followed by a loud moan. Yes it was very interesting and rather weird but the intangible experience earned bonds all together under subconscious conditions. Mr Tan then shared his grandmother's life story of war, no not insulting, it really is from his grandmother's story. "Her brother was tied to a tree and stabbed several times then thrown into the river by the japanese, and under immobilise circumstances he still managed to keep himself afloat and survive the attack... however he is not alive today to share his story as he passed on long ago.." my first impression was: where did they stabbed him in the first place? followed by: after coming on shore how was he able to release himself?
